The Austrian Swiss alps have long held a fascination for millions of visitors over the years and have birthed not only the Sound of Music film but also the Christmas Carol Silent Night, Holy Night. And amongst the scenery of Heidi and winter sports some if the greatest golf courses have been built.
The Alpine Golf Tour will take you from Vienna to Zurich, where you will experience Austria and Switzerland away from the major cities, discovering the true heart of the two countries.
Staying in Castles, eating gourmet food, and playing on some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, you are in for a real treat.
After playing one of these alpine golf courses, you will be brought back to your luxury hotel, where you can pamper yourself in the fantastic Spa and wellness facilities,
indulging yourself before sampling gourmet food at the hotel’s own restaurant, each with at least 2 Gault Millau hats, the equivalent of a Plate Michelin.
The Michelin Plate is the symbol for those restaurants that have neither a star nor a Bib Gourmand. For restaurants, being in the selection is the sign of very good food, and the Michelin Plate is the symbol for that.

DAY ONE – International outbound flight
Arrive in Vienna Meet & greet in the Arrivals hall and transfer to the Castle Thalheim Hotel.
Depending on your arrival times you can just unwind in the beautiful castle grounds or visit one of the nearby vineyards and discover some of the best white wines in Europe. Dinner at the Hotel.

DAY TWO – Golf at Golf Club Adamstal
This morning after breakfast we head to the magnificent Golf Club Adamstal, nestled in the Lower Austrian Alps.
Ranked 85th in Europe there is no better way to start your alpine golf tour. In the afternoon we head back to Castle Thalheim.
Relax in the spa and wellness area in Finnish sauna or enjoy a massage before dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.

DAY THREE – Golf at Golf Club am Mondsee
Today we check out of the hotel and head to Golfclub am Mondsee where you will enjoy a spectacular round of golf at the “moon lake” nestled in the foothills of the Salzburger Alps.
While you are playing golf, your luggage is being brought to Castle Fuschl and placed in your rooms.

DAY FOUR – Golf at Gut Altentann
Ort: Pertisau
This morning we head to the only Jack Nicklaus course in Austria, Gut Altentann.
Just north of Salzburg, the course is a former Austrian Open venue, and with its challenging but friendly layout, you will enjoy golf with the alps in the background.
Return to the hotel and indulge in the spa area or get ready for your evening meal in tonight’s award-winning restaurant.

DAY FIVE -Golf at the Achensee Golf Club.
This morning we check out and drive into the heart of the Alps, Tirol Austria and play the Achensee Golf Club.
The Achensee is Europe’s largest highest lake at 1000 meters above sea level, and the course starts almost on its shores, but heads into the mountains before coming back down in spectacular fashion.
After the round, we head to the Hotel InterAlpen, situated on the top of the Seefelder Plateau, at the base of the Hohe Munde mountain.

DAY SIX – Golf at the Seefeld Wildmoos,
Today the golf course, Seefeld Wildmoos, is just next door to the hotel.
Golf is almost secondary here as the mountains dominate every viewpoint, but do not get too distracted as this course requires accurate play in order to score well.
In the afternoon you can either relax in the hotel or take a short trip into the city of Innsbruck, the capital of the Alps and enjoy a short tour. Tonight you are treated to the Chefs Table experience.

DAY SEVEN – Wine tasting and transfer to Switzerland
Today we leave Austria and head to Switzerland and Bad Ragaz.
Along the way, we stop at the Royal wine cellars of the Prince of Lichtenstein and have a short wine tasting and a bite to eat.
Afterward, we continue to the hotel and check-in. Upon arrival, you can relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. In the evening, dinner is at the hotel Restaurant.

DAY EIGHT – Golf at the world-famous Bad Ragaz Golf Club
Today is our last round of golf at the world-famous Bad Ragaz golf club, home of the Swiss Seniors Open, part of the European Seniors PGA Tour (Legends Tour).
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight enjoys the 2-star Michelin restaurant and the signature tasting menu

Golf Club Adamstal
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. This Jeff Howes design is truly a masterpiece situated amidst the impressive scenery of the Alpine foothills, Golf Club Adamstal is a true jewel—from the well-tended greens and fairways to the clubhouse. It is the love for details that fascinates every golfer and lures you to come again.
The magnificent 27-hole golf course perfectly blends into the high forest, far away from the stress and noise of city life providing a place to feel at peace.
The panoramic view and the pleasant atmosphere of this club guarantee a pure golf experience. Amongst its fans, Golf Club Adamstal has always ranked as one of the top golf

Golf Club Am Mondsee
Outstanding design, superb course maintenance, and the picturesque embedding into the landscape provide a golfing experience for all senses on the consistently flat 18 holes.
While golf beginners have a fair chance of good scores from the front tees, top golfers can muster their entire golf repertoire to earn a birdie from the champion tees.

Golf Club Gut Altentann
The first golf course in Europe designed by Jack Nicklaus presents golf architecture with its highest perfection.
It is obvious that his passion, competence, and knowledge were applied in the development of the course. An important criterion for Jack Nicklaus was that the scenery should keep its original beauty.
The first-class championship course was the site of the Austrian Open from 1990 to 1992 and provides a challenge for golfers of all levels.
This 18-hole golf course situated in Pertisau at the foot of the Karwendel ranks among the most beautiful courses in the Alpine region.
The Golf- und Landclub Achensee, founded in 1934, is not only the oldest golf club in the Tyrol but also one of the first ones in Austria. The solid terrain structure and the magnificent location at the biggest lake of the Tyrol make this course a veritable gem of golfing.
The Golf- und Landclub Achensee is special in every respect: The first tee is virtually situated in the center of the town and the other holes promise pure Alpine golfing. The generous new driving range provides an inviting setting for your warm-up and practice and is further enhanced by a fantastic view of glittering Achen Lake.
Golf Club Wildmoos – Seefeld
Surrounded by birches and larches, this course has been embedded in a natural reserve area by the English architect Donald Harradine.
Relaxing calmness, untouched Tyrolean nature everywhere and an impressive mountain panorama shape the championship course of Seefeld.
This sportive and challenging course has been ranked among the most beautiful golf courses by leading golf magazines. At an altitude of 1300m the balls fly 10% further than at sea level.
Bad Ragaz Golf Club
With loving attention to detail and care for perfect greens, the Golf Club Bad Ragaz offers a very special golfing experience. Embedded within an impressive mountain panorama striving for perfection to make discerning guests feel completely at ease.
Since 2007 the 18-hole Championship Course is a member of the Leading Golf Courses, a community for quality and value, and further joined the World of Leading

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz- Comfort Room
The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is a first-class spa hotel situated just an hour’s drive from Zurich, amidst the foothills of the Alps in Eastern Switzerland. Interalpen Tyrol- Deluxe Room

Thalhiem Castle- Deluxe Room
A renovated castle dating from the 17th century, Schloss Thalheim is surrounded by a large garden and features a restaurant with a terrace. St. Pölten is a 20-minute drive away.
In an elegant ambience, the restaurant serves Austrian and French cuisine, Mediterranean specialities, and a varied breakfast buffet. A café with homemade pastries is also on site.
The spacious rooms offer garden views, a minibar, a TV, and a bathroom.
The spa area features a sauna, a relaxation area and a fitness room. Massages, Ayurveda massages and cranio-sacral therapy are available.

Schloss Thalheim’s Ascension of Jesus chapel was built by the famous Austrian architect Jakob Prandtauer, who is known as the main architect of Melk Abbey.
