The Terravista Golf Club has won several awards as the best golf course in Brazil. The holes are on a plateau, always with a wonderful view of the open sea. The highlight is the 14th hole, which is also the “signature hole”. Depending on the tee, you have to hit 100-200 yards over the cliffs. All 18 holes have 4 standard tees for all levels.
A golf course with a very special character that actually has no place in the middle of the rainforest. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the sparse tree population creates a bizarre contrast. The bunkers with the red sand typical of the region contribute to the charm of the course. The greens are in good condition and the fairly wide and relatively uncomplicated fairways allow a good result from the start. Well suited for beginners. Completely renovated and partially redesigned in 2013!
This course was specially built for the 2016 Olympic Games. It is very similar to a links course and is very prone to wind due to the open, unprotected side facing the sea. The course is relatively long and there is
mostly a long waste area or water along the fairways. In order to get a reasonably good score, it is advisable to go on the round with a caddy.
This golf course is located a little outside of Rio city in the direction of Barra. The 27-hole course is a very beautiful park with a generous driving range and short play facility. The practice area is very suitable for golf club training with accompanying PROs. The place is close to the mountains and offers enough shade in the hot summer months. In contrast to Gávea, all fairways are relatively flat.
