Alongside focusing on key elements of your golf game including chipping, putting, pitching, iron play, and driving we will delve into more performance-based activities such as course management, performance practice, and basic golf psychology.

Our PGA professional will also be able to analyze your golf game more closely whilst playing with you on the golf course. With three fantastic golf courses to choose from at La Cala Resort, La Cala Campo America, La Cala Campo Asia and La Cala Campo Europa courses, players are spoilt for choice in this golfer’s paradise.

All of the golf courses have their individual characteristics making them a joy to play on your golf holiday, together with the dramatic mountainous landscape; La Cala Golf Resort makes a superb venue for a regular retreat.

The courses were all designed by the infamous golf course designer Cabell Robinson, and require a good mix of accuracy and skill to negotiate your way around them.

The 107 deluxe guest rooms at La Cala Golf Resort offer all the modern amenities and comforts you would require throughout your stay including balconies and terraces with superb views of Campo Asia.

All rooms are furnished in a traditional Andalucian style with central heating, air-conditioning, satellite TV, electronic safe, wireless connection, the deluxe bathroom comes with a heated floor, bathrobes, and a hair dryer.

All meals can be taken in La Terraza Restaurant, situated in the hotel, which serves a selection of national and international cuisine.  Weather permitting meals can be taken outside on the terrace overlooking the pool.  Alternatively, take a short walk to the Clubhouse and relax on the terrace, or in the snack bar Hoyo 19, an ideal place for a bite to eat or a relaxing drink after a round of golf, viewing the hills and mountains of the hinterland of the Sierra de Mijas.

The Resort also boasts great leisure facilities including 2 floodlight tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool (not heated), Jacuzzi, a squash court, and a gymnasium.  The latest addition is the outstanding CaraCala Spa offering an exercise pool, Turkish bath, sauna, herbal steam rooms, relaxation terraces, and a range of fantastic treatments.

Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, this spectacularly scenic course with breathtaking views over the Asia Course and as far as Mijas presents a highly enjoyable challenge for all level of players.

It requires good shot-making to elevated greens and rewards accuracy rather than power off the tees.

Formerly the South Course, the spectacular Campo Asia has plenty of challenging holes, guaranteeing a testing round of golf which puts a premium on the approach shot.

The oldest of our three courses and the one most respected by the professionals, it is narrow and short, with four par 5 holes demanding skill and strategy.

Look out for the 10th with its classic design, and the 5th where the aim of your drive is especially critical. The 18th requires full concentration. Remember not to over-club off the tee or this challenging par 4 could spoil your scorecard.

Opened in 1989 La Cala Golf Asia course, formerly known as The South Course is a tough layout, narrow fairways, short holes, and lightning-fast greens. Highly respected as a venue it has hosted some prestigious events.

Cabell Robinson has had a tremendous influence on Golf in the Costa Del Sol Spain. The most prolific designer in this area he has designed and brought to life many high-quality golf courses and has made a huge contribution to European Golf.

A dramatic course but easier for the average golfer, with generous fairways, flatter terrain, and slightly larger greens than Campo America and Asia.

Notable for one main bridge and four smaller bridges across the River Ojén, which features in eight holes, cutting across three fairways. There are four tunnels for golf carts.

Water hazards guard the 3rd and 14th greens. The 14th is at the maximum limit of what is allowed for a par 3 at 233 meters. The par 5 11th is the longest hole at 524 meters.

A lot of attention went into the protection of native plant species and indigenous plants such as Lavender, Rockrose, Rosemary and Palmettos were planted. Also planted were groves of trees, including Cork oak, Eucalyptus, Olives trees, Almond trees and Carob trees.

In total 300 trees and 1,500 bushes were planted. No trees were removed and only one was transplanted. Over 500,000 m3 of earth and 70,000 m3 of topsoil were moved in constructing the course The total area of land involved measures over 100 hectares. The actual golf course itself measures half of this.

Hydrotherapy pools, a Turkish bath, and a sauna are all available at the hotel’s spa. All guests can enjoy a free hydrotherapy session on prior request. A number of treatments are also on offer, such as massages and facials.

La Cala Golf Academy has practice areas and a 6-hole golf course.
